Texas real estate will remain hot in 2006

January 18, 2006 - Linknet Real Estate News

A recent study by National City Corp of the 299 major housing markets in the U.S. found that some of the most undervalued markets in the country are in Texas.

So it is not surprising that Texas is bucking a national trend towards slower real estate estate activity across the country. Investors are flocking to the state when sales are slow in other areas.

Real estate experts say the biggest difference in Texas is that land is affordable. In fact, land is undervalued and is more affordable compared to states such as California and Florida.

Just about 269,000 Texas homes were sold in 2005 which is a 34 percent increase from 2002. Analysts report that
property is being bought by out-of-state investors looking to get a lot more house for their money.

Accordign to the National City Corp report Texas has nine of the 10 most undervalued housing markets in America, including Bryan-College Station, El Paso, Killeen, Dallas, Beaumont and Fort Worth.
