Real-Time PCR
Primer kits (SYBR green)
SYBR® green detection kits
SYBR® green is a simple and low cost solution
for gene quantitation. Well designed and validated primer sets can give high
quality quantitative data. PrimerDesign offers custom
designed and
thoroughly
validated forward and reverse primers with proven specificity and a very
low propensity to form primer dimers, enabling you to produce amplification
plots free from common artefacts.
Each custom
primer set is professionally designed by an experienced molecular biologist
and tested on biologically relevant material. Each kit therefore is guaranteed
to perform to a high standard.
Kits are
available for any human, mouse or rat gene.

PrimerDesign is an innovative
biotechnology company focused on developing improved solutions for
gene quantitation at the clinical-science interface. Situated
within Southampton University's School of Medicine, PrimerDesign
has unparalleled opportunities to access technology and clinically
relevant material in pursuit of these goals. In partnership with ATDbio, also based in Southampton, PrimerDesign specialises in
developing gene quantitation assays validated and manufactured to
the very highest standard. Our products are suitable for use in
clinical trials and other applications where fidelity must be
assured.
PrimerDesign specialise in high quality gene detection and gene
quantification kits based on our PerfectProbe technology. The
PerfectProbes are more sensitive than Taqman and Molecular beacon
probes thanks to an improvement in signal to noise ratio. PrimerDesign
also provides primer design and validation services for use with
SYBR green. Primer design assays are free from primer dimer
issues. We also offer real time PCR consultancy and contract
research solutions. In addition we can provide real time PCR
reagents including mastermix, reverse transcription kits (reverse
transcriptase, dNTP, random hexamer or oligo dT), real time PCR
protocols, primer design and oligonucleotide synthesis. We are
leading the field of housekeeping gene selection by offering
housekeeping gene selection kits based on geNorm technology.
